Traveller’s cheques can be exchanged for local currency in banks and bureaus de change. Remember that they charge a fee for the cheque exchange service. Hotels and restaurants, especially medium- and high-priced ones, accept credit and debit cards, which are also accepted in train stations for long-distance trips.
