We open our Museum to make Olive Oil
prices from39.00 €
Have you ever seen how olive oil is made?
Did you know that it was not until a long time ago as it was in the time of the Greeks and the Romans?
Well, this is what we have done in Penedès 500. We have recovered the old Trull de Pedra and, with the help of Xarel·lo, a real Catalan donkey, we will press the olives and we will do right there, in front of you, this exquisite and authentic new oil. We will try it with bread from the wood oven at the Pla de Manlleu. Toasted bread, oil and salt, local sausage, and of course with our ecological and sustainable wines.
We will find Km0 of the Zone +500 where we will explain part of our project and begin the walk between vineyards until reaching the olive trees. There we will explain everything you want to know about the crops that surround us. We will return to the Cellar Museum where Xarel·lo is waiting for us, our Catalan donkey, and we will show a demonstration of how to get rid of the olives, prior to the extraction of oil. We will do it in the old museum trull. Good slices of bread from the baked oven of the Pla de Manlleu, along with our wines, will be the ideal accompaniments to sample the oil in the house.
