A Catalan farmhouse in the heart of the Penedès owned by the Torres family, Mas Rabell has kept its country charm and the beauty of tradition. The unique wine setting is wonderful for any traditional, creative and deliciously Mediterranean activity.
The Mas Rabell stone farmhouse rose from the foundations of the royal castle of Sant Martí Sarroca, surrounded by beautiful scenery of mountains and vineyards. The Torres family restored the home in 1973, conserving its romantic buildings and expanding it by adding a modern kitchen and light-filled dining room, decorated in the purest Mediterranean style by Waltraud Maczassek, painter and wife of Miguel A. Torres. Some of her pieces adorn the walls of the home. Large windows let in ample light and bring us closer to the lovely sight of vineyards stretching out from the estate on all sides. Vineyards and rose gardens surround Mas Rabell, as well as an interesting collection of grape varieties hailing from round the world. The ageing cellars for the famous brandies are located nearby, with storerooms where the barrels rest, along with the extremely old vintages.
